Terms of sale
Last updated: 12 January 2026
These terms of sale are fictional. Yuva does not exist: the company, its staff and its services are invented. It sells nothing, takes no payment and has no customers. This document is part of a narrative work and has no legal effect. No contract can be formed with Yuva. If you have arrived on this page believing you had subscribed to something, you have not.
These terms govern the sale of Yuva subscriptions to individuals. They are accepted at sign-up and supplement our terms of service.
1. Purpose and scope
These terms of sale apply to every subscription to the Yuva service taken out by a consumer within the meaning of the French consumer code, excluding business offers, which are covered by a separate agreement.
The service is a watching-over and peace-of-mind service for families: location tracking for the members of the circle who have consented to it, alerts, access to an adviser and, depending on the plan, the deployment of a field team.
The seller is Yuva SAS, a société par actions simplifiée with share capital of 2,480,000 euros, whose registered office is at 18 rue de Miromesnil, 75008 Paris, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 903 412 778. Further company information is set out in our legal notice.
2. Subscribing
Subscriptions are taken out online, once an access request has been approved, or through an adviser. The customer selects a plan, provides the required information, reviews the details of the order, corrects them if needed, and then confirms.
Confirming the order constitutes unreserved acceptance of these terms. The contract is formed when the customer receives a confirmation email setting out the plan, the price, the term and how to cancel.
The customer confirms that they are of full age, have legal capacity to contract, and are acting for their own personal purposes.
3. Plans and prices
Plans, what they include and their prices are shown to the customer before sign-up, repeated in the confirmation email, and available at any time in the customer area. Prices are in euros, inclusive of all taxes, for mainland France.
Yuva may change its prices. Any change affecting an ongoing subscription is notified to the customer at least one month before it takes effect. A customer who does not accept the new price may cancel free of charge before that date.
4. Term and renewal
The subscription runs for an initial term of one month or twelve months, depending on the plan. It then renews automatically for further terms of the same length, unless cancelled as set out in section 6.
In accordance with article L. 215-1 of the French consumer code, Yuva informs the customer in writing, no earlier than three months and no later than one month before the end of the period during which renewal may be refused, that they are free not to renew the contract. If that information is not sent within those time limits, the customer may end the contract free of charge at any time from the renewal date. Any payments made after the last renewal date are then refunded within thirty days, less the amounts corresponding to the service actually provided.
5. Right of withdrawal
The customer has fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract to exercise their right of withdrawal, without giving reasons and without bearing any costs other than those set out below.
To exercise this right, the customer notifies their decision in an unambiguous statement, by email to contact@yuva.life, by post to the registered office, or using the form reproduced below. To meet the deadline, it is enough that the notification is sent before the period expires.
If the customer asked for the service to begin during the withdrawal period, they remain liable for an amount proportionate to the service provided up to the point at which they gave notice. Any remaining sums are refunded within fourteen days of receipt of the notification, using the same means of payment as at sign-up.

- (*) Delete as appropriate.
6. Cancellation
The customer may cancel their subscription at any time, with effect at the end of the current period, free of charge and without giving reasons.
In accordance with article L. 215-1-1 of the French consumer code, a cancellation feature is permanently available in the customer area, under a heading reading "cancel your contract", in a simple and direct way. There the customer confirms their identity and their contract details, submits the request, and immediately receives an acknowledgement on a durable medium stating the date on which the cancellation takes effect.
Cancellation may also be requested by email or by post to the registered office.
Yuva may terminate the subscription if the customer is in serious breach of their obligations, in particular where the service is used for non-consensual surveillance, after a formal notice that has gone unanswered for fifteen days. Where a person's safety is at immediate risk, access may be suspended straight away.
When the contract ends, the circle's data is handled in accordance with our privacy policy.
7. Payment
The subscription is payable in advance, by direct debit or by card, on the anniversary date of the sign-up. Invoices are made available in the customer area.
If a payment fails, Yuva sends the customer a reminder. If the position is not put right within fifteen days, access to the service may be suspended and the contract then terminated. Sums due bear interest at the statutory rate, and this clause does not relieve Yuva of its duty to give prior notice.
8. Customer obligations
The customer warrants that the information provided at sign-up is accurate and keeps it up to date. They keep their credentials confidential and report any unauthorised use of their account without delay.
The customer undertakes to add to their circle only people who have been informed and have consented, and not to use the service to monitor an adult without their knowledge, for harassment, or for any unlawful purpose. They are answerable for any use made from their account.
9. Children and parental authority
The service makes it possible to follow a child's location and well-being signals. Subscribing on behalf of a child requires the customer to hold parental authority.
Where parental authority is exercised jointly, the customer undertakes to inform the other parent of the subscription and of the nature of the monitoring put in place. Yuva may ask for confirmation that this has been done and may suspend monitoring if a disagreement is brought to its attention.
A child aged fifteen or over is informed of the monitoring that concerns them, of its extent, and of how to ask for it to stop. Yuva sends them that information when monitoring is activated, and the customer undertakes not to object to it.
Monitoring ends automatically when the child reaches the age of majority, unless they take out a contract of their own.
10. Statutory guarantees
Regardless of any commercial warranty, Yuva remains liable for lack of conformity of the service under articles L. 217-3 and following of the French consumer code, and under the guarantee against latent defects provided for by articles 1641 and following of the French civil code.
Where the service does not conform, the customer may ask for it to be brought into conformity or, failing that, for a price reduction or for the contract to be rescinded. Such requests are made to contact@yuva.life.
11. Liability and availability
Yuva is bound by a duty of best endeavours. It takes the measures needed to keep the service running, without guaranteeing the complete absence of interruptions, since the service depends among other things on communication networks, on the customer's devices, and on the availability of location signals.
Yuva is not a substitute for the emergency services or the police. Where there is danger, the customer should call the emergency numbers.
12. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for a failure caused by an event of force majeure within the meaning of article 1218 of the French civil code. If the event lasts more than thirty days, either party may terminate the contract by recorded delivery letter, with no compensation payable.
13. Personal data
The processing carried out under the subscription is described in our privacy policy. Our data protection officer can be reached at dpo@yuva.life.
14. Complaints and mediation
Complaints should be sent to contact@yuva.life or by post to the registered office. Yuva acknowledges receipt within five working days and replies within one month.
In accordance with article L. 612-1 of the French consumer code, a customer whose dispute remains unresolved may refer it free of charge to the consumer ombudsman appointed by Yuva: Médiateur de la consommation AME, 11 place Dauphine, 75001 Paris, mediation-conso-ame.com. Referral to the ombudsman requires a written complaint to have been made to Yuva first.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, a dispute may be brought before the court for the place where the customer was living when the contract was concluded or when the harmful event occurred, at the customer's choice.
If any provision of these terms is held to be void, the remaining provisions stay in full force.
16. Reminder
As stated at the top of this page, this document is fictional: Yuva does not exist, sells nothing and has no customers. No contract can be formed with Yuva.
